COASTAL DUNE LAKES of the WORLD
MISSION:
The objective of this project is to produce a 1 hour High Definition broadcast educational nature documentary featuring the Coastal Dunes Lakes of Walton County-Florida, Northland-New Zealand and Queensland-Austrailia with a high quality educational value, artistic style, and with entertainment merit.
This documentary will address the public awareness and education needs of the Coastal Dunes Lakes and surrounding areas of the lakes. Strong composition images will feature the natural, cultural, recreational, scientific and educational uniqueness of the coastal dune lake region, along with fascinating story-telling techniques that include the rich and colorful history of pre-development.
Other segments will showcase the habitat of increasingly elusive and/or endangered plants and animals, concluding with the lasting impact and importance of preserving the ecosystem around the perimeter area for our future.
We will showcase a comparative study of the Coastal Dune Lakes in the Northwest Gulf Coast of Florida, New Zealand and Australia. Each of these places has special protection on the lakes for environmental and ecological purposes. We'll feature a Scientist from each district, a local historian and educator to juxtapose information and learn from the research, threats and management practices. Each region has been a hot spot for eco-tourism. Discuss management successes, lessons learned and ideas how to manage eco-tourism businesses.
